Your favourite The Little Gym story? 

- Being the “cool” teacher when we first opened Leeds. I was on holiday, and the class asked where the “cool” teacher was, that was me!

How did you get interested in sports?
- I got into fitness purely for my own gains back when I was 18 - but since then it’s evolved into a passion for teaching movement and exercise to adult and now children too! I love how fitness can be so much fun!

What ​do you love to do in your free time?
- In my free time I love going to the gym myself, my fiance competes in powerlifting and we will often go watch her team compete. I also spend lots of time cuddling my cats.

​What can't you live without? ​
- Cats, coffee, TV shows (a bit of a sucker for a good TV show!)

Where ​have you lived?
- I’ve lived in the UK  my whole life, I lived at home until uni when I spent 3 years in Stoke. I’ve visited New York, Shanghai, Canada and Ireland too!

Your favourite The Little Gym story? 

- There are so many lovely stories from working her, but once when handing out the medals in show week, one of our fantastic members came up after all the medals had been handed out, and gave me a medal! Her mum said they thought I should have a medal too :) I’ve never forgotten that!

How did you get interested in sports?
- I have always loved running and outdoor activities, my dad took me running and swimming from a really young age! I once decided it would be a great idea to take my own armbands off and put them around my ankles! oops. I did athletics in school, then triathlons and have done 2 marathons!

What ​do you love to do in your free time?
- I love to be outdoors, walking, climbing, taking photos, doing yoga, horse riding and just being active.

​What can't you live without? ​
- I couldn’t live without my two cats, sunshine and coffee!

Where ​have you lived?
- I grew up in Essex, spent 6 years in London, moved to Harrogate and now living in Leeds!

Your favourite The Little Gym story? 

- Naomi as a cat mixing the “witches” cauldron and Danielle stealing something from the “potion” during the Halloween week (my first week!) So funny!

How did you get interested in sports?
- As a child, I went to different kinds of sport clubs each week from gymnastics to netball and swimming. Since then I have always enjoyed exercise of any form and always want to find new ways to be active!

What ​do you love to do in your free time?
- I love to dance, scrapbook, go to yoga and spend time with my family and friends.

​What can't you live without? ​
- Sticky toffee pudding!

Where ​have you lived?
- I have lived in the South of England, New York, Los Angeles, Humboldt Christchurch New Zealand, North of England and London!

Your favourite The Little Gym story? 

- One of my first camps which I lead, I had 6 children achieve their very first cartwheel which they loved! It was so wonderful to see them achieve it for the first time!

How did you get interested in sports?
- My dad and grandparents have all been sports coaches so they were eager to get me involved too.

What ​do you love to do in your free time?
- I love to play for my local netball team and go boxing with my brother.

​What can't you live without? ​
- I can’t live without my car! I use it to get to work in Leeds, gymnastics, netball in Halifax, and Rawtenstall to go boxing.

Where ​have you lived?
- I live in Halifax and have lived in Todmorden too.

Your favourite The Little Gym story? 

- My favourite moment is when the children first remembered my name and when I saw them take my advice and saw the progress each time they did the skill of focus, it felt nice to know that they learnt from me and paid attention to the feedback I gave.

How did you get interested in sports?
- When I was 3 my nan took me to gymnastics then within a few lessons I was entered into a competition at Leeds Beckett University! I got a medal and became a member of the training group at the gymnastics centre there! That’s how I got into loving sport.

What ​do you love to do in your free time?
- I was a Great British international 800m runner until injury set me back. In my spare time I love to run and try to work my way back up to the top where I once was. I am also an avid Leeds United fan and often go to the games. I also like to travel the world with my friends.

​What can't you live without? ​
- I can’t live without my family and friends. They are the most important thing in my life.

Where ​have you lived?
- I have lived my whole live in Leeds, I do feel like l want live abroad but it would take a lot for me to move from Leeds!

Your favourite The Little Gym story? 

- My favourite The Little Gym story would have to be when one of the younger children asked me if I’d competed in the Olympics, I had to tell them unfortunately I hadn’t but I’d love to!

How did you get interested in sports?
- I first got into gymnastics when I was 3! My parents knew I was going to be a gymnast when I was very little because I used to sleep in box splits and sit in straddle!

What ​do you love to do in your free time?
- In my free time I love to play the piano and it is definitely something I couldn’t live without!

​What can't you live without? ​
- Playing the piano!

Where ​have you lived?
- I moved to Leeds when I was 10 and before that I lived in a little village in Normanton in Wakefield.

Your favourite The Little Gym story? 

- I love to see children accomplish a new skill and on my first day I taught the most adorable little girl how to cartwheel and she was super excited and said thank you for teaching her. I was very proud of her for achieving this goal!

How did you get interested in sports?
- I have always been interested in sports and performing arts. I have danced since the age of 3 years and followed this passion through to dancing professionally in Australia. I have always taught dance/gymnastics/cheerleading throughout my adulthood as I love to pass on my personal experience and see children enjoy themselves through expression and movement.

 

What ​do you love to do in your free time?
- I have two teenage children who are very active with their sports, my daughter is a member of Team England (cheer) and competes in the British Championships for gymnastics and my son is an avid rugby player and a boxer. I love to teach cheerleading/dance, I enjoy travelling AND I am so excited to be coaching at Little Gym Leeds doing what I love!!!

​What can't you live without? ​
- My children, my husband, working out at the gym, Costa coffee!!

Where ​have you lived?
- I am Australian so I lived there for most of my life and came to the UK 12 years ago. I am proud to say I am officially British now (with an aussie accent!!!).
